How to write service pages that rank and convert

A simple outline for service pages that answer customer questions, earn search visibility, and turn visitors into calls.

Many local websites list every service on one page. That makes it hard for Google and AI tools to understand what you do, and hard for customers to find what they need. A dedicated page for each main service fixes both problems.

Lead with the service and the place

Your heading should say exactly what the page offers and where, such as "Custom cakes in Wichita, KS". The first paragraph should confirm who it is for and what makes your version worth choosing.

Answer the questions customers ask

Cover price ranges, timelines, what is included, how to get started, and what happens after. Use real customer questions as subheadings and answer each one directly.

Show proof

Add photos of real work, a short project example, and reviews that mention the service. Proof is what separates your page from every generic competitor.

Make the next step obvious

Put a clear call to action near the top and again at the end. A phone number that can be tapped on mobile and a short form remove friction.

Link it into your site

Link the service page from your homepage and navigation, and to the related location pages and blog posts. Internal links help Google find the page and understand how it fits your business.
